4 Simple Tips For Feeling More Energized

Over 50 percent of Americans say that they use coffee to wake up and get going every day, although despite their cup of java they find themselves dipping in energy at some point.

It’s frustrating to feel like you don’t have enough fuel to be able to finish your to-do’s or feel motivated in general.  If this sounds like you and you’re ready to start feeling more energized and less exhausted, take a look at some of these simple yet effective tips.

Drink More Water

Even though caffeine may be a quick fix to get you up and running, it ultimately leads to a caffeine crash.  Rather than pumping your body full of caffeine to the point of jitters, try reaching for a bottle of water instead.

Keeping your body hydrated throughout the day keeps your system energized and hydrated.  If you’re someone who doesn’t currently drink a lot of water, a great way to get yourself into the habit is to bring water wherever you go.  It will soon start to become a habit as you do it more and more.

Get Plenty Of Sleep

This may seem like a no-brainer, yet so many people sleep less than 6 hours a night and can’t seem to figure out why their bodies are exhausted.   Your body needs a healthy amount of sleep every night in order to be able to regenerate cells and restore itself for the next day.

Over time, failing to give your body the energy that it needs each night will result in burnout.

Limit Caffeine Intake

It may seem counterintuitive, but cutting back on your caffeine intake will actually boost your energy levels.  Too much caffeine starts to make you feel charged so that you expend all of your energy.  After a while, you are more tired than you are in the first place.

Try to limit yourself to one cup of coffee a day or consider eliminating it from your diet altogether.

Get More Exercise

Getting your blood pumping and being active is a great way to start your day.  When you get your body moving, you’re giving yourself a boost that will carry on and set the tone for your mood and energy levels.

Even if you work hard and feel muscle fatigue, you’ll feel endorphins running through your system which not only make you feel better physically but also mentally.

You don’t have to buy an expensive gym membership to get in a workout either.  Sometimes your workout can be a simple as walking to work by foot rather than driving.
